About ReCraft Home Remodeling

Who We Are

We've Been Turning Portland Houses Into Homes Since 2001

After earning an Environmental Science degree, Mike Andreyuk applied his University of Denver education to a pioneering green building non-profit in Atlanta. For the next five years, Mike learned that a house is much more than just ‘sticks and bricks’:  it’s a piece of history, a shelter from the elements, and a comfortable place to enjoy life. That’s a delicate equilibrium, one that requires solid planning and sound maintenance. Since 2001, Mike has honored Portland area homes’ balance of roles with his blend of tested techniques and proven experience. In the process, Mike respects the original construction, strives to surpass the homeowner’s expectations, and gives abundant consideration to the environment. It’s tricky, rewarding work, which is exactly why Mike enjoys it so much.

Portland's Award Winning Home Remodeler

We're proud of the awards we've won, but prouder of the houses we've turned into homes for our clients.

About Us

ReCraft Home Remodeling Team - Mike Andreyuk

Mike Andreyuk

Owner

ReCraft was born in 2001 from my passion for craftsmanship and rehabilitating old Portland gems. I’ve since grown to appreciate the value of not only delivering an amazing end result but also giving the client the best overall experience possible.

When I’m not running a remodeling company, you will often find me hiking in the Columbia Gorge, skiing up on Mt. Hood, camping at the Coast, or something having to do with soccer.

Ivy Crouse

DESIGNER

I’ve worked in Portland residential remodeling since 2006. As a Certified Kitchen Designer, I enjoy helping families realize their remodeling dreams with functional and cohesive spaces capturing both their tastes and lifestyle. I excel at collaborating with Architects, Designers, and those in the field to achieve the end result we are all aiming for!

When not working, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors with my family, creating art, or volunteering with my Daughters’ girl scout troops. I love finding design inspiration within nature; the most timeless color palette of all.

Asa Steinberg

Bookkeeper and Office Manager

As someone who was born and raised in Portland, it is such a privilege to work for a company that values the individuality of the homes here as much as I do. I love my city and its uniqueness. On any given weekend,

I am usually out enjoying all the things Portland has to offer, whether that be swimming down at the river, exploring trails in southwest, or trekking through downtown to experience the amazing food culture we have here!

Dean Fruin

Carpenter

As a carpenter, I enjoy turning vision into reality and doing everything I can to bring excellence to my craft.

I find it exciting recrafting old Craftsman-style homes in Portland as it offers new daily challenges and creative ways to build.

Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, I recently moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2019 for a new life adventure. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring what Washington and Oregon have to offer.

Timothy Murphy

Lead Carpenter

My father was a carpenter, and because of this, I have been exposed to construction throughout my life and even helped remodel the home I grew up in at a young age. I love taking on new tasks, learning new skills, and seeing the results of projects as they reach completion. I am a team player and try my best to help out my team! I like to look on the bright side of things and bring a good attitude to the task at hand.

Being outdoors always makes me happy. In my free time I enjoy cooking, brewing beer, archery, playing guitar (20+ years), drums, mixed martial arts, hiking, camping, gardening and spending time with my dog.

Brandon

Carpenter

When I was 4 years old, I got a sledgehammer as a gift and never looked back. I enjoy the problem-solving carpentry requires me to do. Recraft is the best outfit I've worked for. Everyone is always looking out for one another and lending a hand. Seeing the client's vision come to life is the best part of being a carpenter.

In my free time you can usually find me in my garage pulling a motorcycle apart or at the local skatepark.
